Wild Libra (2006)

The Spirit's Notes: This art conveys a deam-like state of well being which features Darla, a model that I have drawn more than any other, and was one of the few pieces of art that I even created in 2006. I sought to draw in ink a work which can only be interpreted as art. It is a moment in time, one which offers contrasts between the real and the surreal, one that conveys emotion as Darla, the subject looks up and ahead. She is at a place of inner peace, in a place and state of mind where the moon and sun align, a rare state of being exactly where you want to be in life. Nude and at peace, doing what they are doing, and wishing they were no where else, like a state of supreme truth. Whatever it takes for a person to achieve such a state, that is what I would wish for us all, and that is the emotional moment I had hoped to convey here.
